CLIENT BACKGROUND

Private hospital group | 3 sites, ~900 staff | Stockholm, Sweden

THE CHALLENGE

The group had recently implemented an electronic health record (EHR) system across all three hospitals, but the rollout had been poorly executed by the original vendor. Clinicians were experiencing frequent login failures, slow data retrieval, and connectivity drops that were interrupting patient consultations. The internal IT team of two people was overwhelmed managing day-to-day helpdesk requests and had no capacity to investigate or fix the underlying infrastructure issues.

THE STECHAD SOLUTION

Stechad conducted a full infrastructure review across all three sites, identifying root causes in the network configuration that were creating bottlenecks at peak clinical hours. Network segmentation was redesigned to prioritise EHR traffic, Wi-Fi access points were repositioned and upgraded in clinical areas, and Stechad took over the helpdesk function with a dedicated remote support engineer available during all clinical hours. A monthly infrastructure health report was introduced for the group’s leadership.
