THE CHALLENGE
The firm had migrated to Microsoft 365 eighteen months earlier but had never properly configured the environment. Email security policies were not enforced, Teams was barely used, SharePoint had been set up inconsistently across practice groups, and sensitive client documents were still being shared via personal email. A near-miss data incident involving a misdirected email had prompted the managing partner to take the issue seriously.
THE STECHAD SOLUTION
Stechad conducted a full Microsoft 365 environment audit and delivered a structured remediation plan. Multi-factor authentication was enforced firm-wide, SharePoint was restructured around practice group access controls, email encryption and data loss prevention policies were configured, and staff received a focused training session on secure document handling.
